




Dec. 12 marks the feast day for the Virgin of Guadalupe, whom Latin Catholics call the Virgin Mary. The Virgin is known as the mother of all of Mexico and the empress of the Americas. Beginning the evening of Dec. 11, the faithful attend Mass and march in processions. Vigils are held overnight. Across the United States, Mexico and some parts of Latin America, millions of people celebrate the day of Our Lady of Guadalupe. Video narrated by Naples Daily News reporter Alexi Cardona.

Residents of the River Park, a Naples, Florida, neighborhood developed in the '60s as a segregated community for black residents have seen their area change drastically. And those changes are accelerating with Southwest Florida's rapid growth. Many of the older residents are dying off, and their descendants are moving on in search of cheaper living.
