Michael Griego, a master gardener with the City of Albuquerque, collects plants inside the City of Albuquerque Park and Recreation Greenhouse in Albuquerque on Monday, Aug. 21, 2023. Griego has worked with the city for six years with the last four as a master gardener at the city’s Greenhouse. He tends to plants that are used to beautify the City of Albuquerque, including areas such as City Hall and the Albuquerque Airport. Griego says that one of the greatest blessings about his job is giving back by educating city officials and community members about the various plants and their benefits to our city.
